On the day of calf augmentation in Turkey, you will be placed under general anesthesia and turned face down on the operating room table. An incision is made in the fascia of the muscle. The fascia is the fibrous covering of the muscle itself. Sutures close the incision.
A special instrument is employed to create a pocket between the fascia and the underlying muscle. This pocket is made just big enough for the implant to fit into securely. The leg is examined for effect and if the result renders effective then the incision in the fascia is closed with stitches. The patient will be returned to face-up position and then taken to recovery.
